Sumita Kala Color Intense Pencil- Photo Review and Look

Sumita Beauty Kala Color Intense Pencil

The tip of this pencil is soft. The product applies smoothly.

Intense pigmentation

Smudge Test

From left to right, liner un-smudged, liner smudged after 15 minutes, liner smudged immediately after application.

A testament to this pencil’s real staying power. I took this pic of my arm after trying to scrub the product off. This pencil doesn’t budge.

Smoky eye look created by blending out. I used Maybelline’s Color Tattoo in “Tough as Taupe” as a base.

Smoky eye profile. I drew the pencil directly on my lid and blended outward, working quickly. I worked one eye at a time to prevent the pencil from drying before I could blend.

Smoky eye close-up.

You may remember this pencil from the February 2014 GlossyBox. I love it so much, I had to share it with you! This pencil has real staying power, and blends out beautifully. The pigment is intensely black. GlossyBox describes the pencil as having “Bold color + blendability + long wear”. I can vouch for this description as being totally accurate.

The price of this pencil is mid-range, at $15. (You can pick one up from Sumita Beauty here.) The pencil is cheaper than my past fave, Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil in “Zero” ($20). I prefer the Sumita pencil because of it’s superior blendability.

¬°Hasta luego, amigos!
