Sally Hansen “Salon Manicure Cuticle Eraser and Balm”
Of all of my chronically dry skin, my hands are probably the worst. I have been in constant battle with the dead skin on my knuckles, tips of my fingers, and especially my cuticles, especially after this horrible winter.
For years, I’ve been dissatisfied with cuticle oils. Most recently, I’ve used Orly Cuticle Therapy Creme and Julep Mighty Nail & Cuticle Serum. Oils soften and condition cuticles, making them easier to push back. Why would I want to condition them, though? I don’t want to be nice to them! I want them demolished!
Enter my new friend, stage left. Sally Hansen Cuticle eraser! I picked this little beauty up on a whim at the grocery store for $6.99.
Sally Hansen’s claim: “Instantly visibly healthier, more beautiful cuticles! Cuticles look up to 80% smoother. 2-in-1 formula with White Tea & Cucumber gently & quickly loosens & exfoliates stubborn, overgrown cuticles while leaving skin feeling deeply moisturized.”
The Verdict: I hereby second the claim. Like a cuticle oil would, the product softens my cuticles, making them easier to push back. It also helps to reduce cuticle appearance, though. I don’t know how this strange magic is achieved. All I know is, I’m a fan.
